How to boil the perfect quail or chicken egg

For perfect hard-boiled quail eggs every time:
  1. In saucepan, submerge eggs in tepid water.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Once boiled, put lid on saucepan and remove from heat.
  4. After 5 minutes, exactly, stop the cooking process by submerging eggs in cold water.
  5. Peel, eat, ENJOY!
For perfect hard-boiled chicken eggs, steep them for 12 minutes, rather than 5.
